The blueprint for blueprint is taking shape
09 November, 2014
With demolition complete, key phases of construction are now underway. The removal of existing lobby walls and the installation of curve template walls has introduced a new look and feel to this modern Swire Properties space. Partitions are now in place to segment blueprint’s whopping 20,000 sq ft, creating the meeting rooms and collaboration areas of the future.
Painting of ceilings, carpentry and electrical work have now begun, and even in these initial stages visitors are taking away hints suggestive of the bold interiors to come.
The installation of air conditioning, a staple for all hard-working Hong Kong communities, is midway towards completion. We look forward to providing this creature comfort and many more 24/7 to blueprint's co-working members.
The deliveries to blueprint provide perhaps the most exciting news of all. A HUD shipping container has now been received, and is set for reincarnation as a destination meeting room. ‘Cuddles’, a life-size baby elephant bean bag from the Elephant Parade ® ,is now ready for collection. You don’t need a crystal ball to foresee many future selfies with Cuddles in the background! To add to the randomness, lavatory doors and economy seats from a decommissioned Cathay Pacific Airways plane will soon be returned to their former glory – just not in a way you might expect.
blueprint is steadily progressing toward readiness, and the future is looking bright. Stay tuned for more updates!
