TingPark is Hong Kong's first and only city-wide real time parking aggregator mobile app (currently available on Android, and on iOS soon), helping drivers to find available parking spots before they drive and help shopping malls and car parks increase traffic. TingPark has plans in place to launch Internet-of-Things hardware to be installed inside car parks to make parking even smarter.
What drives you (pun intended) to overhaul the existing parking process?
Drivers frequently complain about how hard it is to find parking and how much time they waste doing so, and existing solutions don't seem to solve the problem well. We're the best team to make this happen.
Who is your typical customer, and how might they use TingPark to improve their journey?
Our typical customers are shopping malls who benefit hugely by increasing mall traffic. Their most important customers are often visitors who arrive by car are consumers with intention to purchase or spend longer periods in the mall for entertainment purposes, rather than walk-through traffic that tend to visit by utilising public transport.
Tell us about your interest in the Swire group of companies. Any meaningful connections to date?
The Swire group is well known for its high quality commercial complexes, with both offices and shopping malls. Having the privilege to work with Swire group of companies for potential collaboration in improving the visitor experience and brainstorm ways to attract mall traffic is fantastic. TingPark has already been touch with management personnel from Pacific Place and Cityplaza.
How many parking facilities can be found by users on the app?
There are approximate 600 parking data points found on our app, with 250+ real time availability data points. We are among the most comprehensive parking products available in Hong Kong.
What’s next for TingPark?
1) We'll continue to refine and improve the product that drivers will love using
2) Proceed with a focus on business development and liaise with more shopping malls, with an aim to drive mall traffic
3) Find more monetization elements with our utility product
